We have our mothers and grandmothers to thank for these wonderful inventions.  Popovers are like a super bib! that looks great and can catch a lot more mess than a regular bib.  My little girl is nearly three and still wears them and they really do help keep her clean!  She enjoys wearing them too as she has many different ones with pictures and pockets that interest her.  I am hoping to make some boys ones too, and I have a few ideas of boyish vibes I can go with, so keep posted for the latest!

Wow, I can’t beleive the weather, but I guess this is Melbourne I’m talking about.  The last week has been hotter than summer was and today I’ve got up put my gumboots on and gone to water the garden and realised I was shivering! Its a cold morning, and now I want the heat back.  We’re never happy are we?  I am glad the cooler weather is coming though, it means we can get out all our nice cardies and scarves and hats. Have a great day, its going to be 26C, and clear by the looks of it.  Also if anyone wants to contact me regarding handmade shoes and clothes just email me at bronb@myway.com thanks Bronwyn

Just finished this little outfit for my friend.  I really enjoyed making it and I have some left over material so I might make something for my little girl out of it.  I was in Spotlight a week or so ago and noticed all the great summer prints and bright fabrics that are out now, and I am really glad.  I love bright colourful clothing.  I have lots of ideas of little outfits I want to make (its just getting the time) so please stay tuned and offer some feedback too!  Have a great week, Bronwyn

Hi everyone! Hope the week hasn’t been too rough on you!  Mine hasn’t been too bad, except for when I turned up at work, as the agency staff member, to somewhere I’d never been, to find I was running the show, as the receptionist hadn’t turned up! Which was a tad stressful!  It has been a fruitful week though as I managed to get this outfit I’ve been working on finished, which is great.  I really enjoyed making it.  I like that feeling of freedom of taking it wherever I want and being creative, which can let you go anywhere.  I think it came up quite nice, what do you think?  I’d love to get some feedback.  I’ve put it on Ebay, so that will be interesting too, to see if people are taken with it?  What about you?  I’d love to hear what projects people are working on at the mo?  Drop us a line or two!  Thanks Bron

Where’s the Mortein?

Man time flies!  Especially when you have a toddler!  I just noticed how long ago my last post was and thought I better get cracking with something fresh.  My sister is so fantastic and fruitful with her blog, it puts me to shame.  I have noticed the Visitor Counter though, and I want to thank everyone very much for your interest and lovely feedback. I really enjoy hearing people’s opionions and comments so keep them coming!

Travelling, Toddlers and Twisties (baby ice) June 28, 2007

img_1365.jpgThe three of us, Pete, Enya and myself went to Sydney last weekend to see our gorgeous new neice LILY (and her parents of course), who has just come all the way from China.  Taking what we now see as a huge gamble, we decided to travel by car with Miss Two without the aid of any narcotics or anaesthetics.  Miss Two did remarkably well for  the first couple of hours, but once the novelty had worn off of “look at all those trees, and we’re going to see Lily”, and the realisation had set in that we weren’t just popping up to the shops,  Enya started cracking it.  So from then on in it was bribery and cohersion, including ‘Twisties’, which Enya had never had before.  Our plan worked and we made it without too much trouble — we thought!  Once arriving at my sisters we witnessed what must have been a combination of food colouring, pent up energy, excitiement at a new environment and people. She was a one baby show! As concerned as I was that she must be exhausted, and badly needed to sleep, I’ve never laughed so hard (not for a long time anyway)!! We ended up giving her a miniscule dose of sedative which eventually knocked her out and she slept until 9am the next morning; and thankfully was back to normal.

Its great to receive feedback from happy customers!  I have received several replies from ebay customers telling me they are very happy with their purchases and delighted with the attention to detail.  As I can make them according to the customer’s request, it means they are  individualized and unique for every customer!  Please feel free to email me any suggestions or questions.  Thanks for visiting, Bronwyn

Happy Birthday to Me! April 17, 2007

Today I’m thirty one and I can say I’m happy.  I think its great in this day and age of such consumerism if we can learn to be content,  love our families, focus on relationships and helping one another and just loving life and taking each day as a blessing from God.  I’m 31, but I’ve been married, had a fast food business, and two houses, but I was the most miserable I’ve ever been in my life!  Its so true what the Bible says in Proverbs, “Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.”
